I want......NEED coilovers lol. Seriously though which ones and who makes nice ones. I cant decide between Tein super Street's or the BC Racing ones i saw on PG's page. keeping in mind the factory spring rates i want stiffer, lower, and adjustabe. Opinions or even pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Did you consider the Mazdaspeed ones? Stiffer, lower, and adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound damping. Also less hassle from the dealer. Not cheap though.

tein SS coilovers would be my choice if i could afford it because you can add their EDC system (electronic dampening control)

I tried looking them up and i see no Mazda 3 application even made. Price works out to be about the same as the MS Coilover kit. With controller, roughly $1400.

hmm well maybe i was wrong, i couldve sworn i read somewhere on here about a 3 with the SS system, but now I cant find it. Oh well, my point remains, that controller is pretty sweet, if i wanted coilovers, thatd be the way to go for me

I guess i didnt look hard enough..

On Ebay They Are Here

Again, same price as the MS setup without the controller. So, add another $350 and you get cockpit adjustable.

I have the teins from my written off MZ3.
I will be putting them on this spring when the snow melts.
I'll post how they work on the MS3, they were awesome on my old car!

Very interested in your comparison now that you have a MS3. 16 way adjustable, correct?

It will be intersesting, the Speeds chassis reinformance should be very benificial to take advantage of the higher spring rates.
I also think that the sway bars being a little stiffer should be just right with the teins rates of 340 390. The only thing that will be worse is the extra 200lbs. Hopefully these spring rates will still be high enough.

I can't wait to find out.
Has anyone seen any Tein products? Mazdaspeed 3 specific I haven't yet but am looking. anybody?

As far as I know they only make the Mazda 3 specific; I'll post up this spring how well they work on these cars.

i wouldnt do it. If youre gonna drop that kinda coin get something ms3 speicific. I have been waitin on Tein too...WTF are they waiting on? I thought the MS3 was a hot commodity!

I think they will work well, I was worried that the spring rates may not be high enough, with the ms3's extra wieght.
However when I looked at what else is available for the speed I found that that 340/390 was stiffer than alot of the ms3 specific setups.

I'll find out this spring how well they work. (thumb)

the teins have that spring rate? or something else? Has anyone looked at those BC racing ones and i do agree people need to start making more upgrades besaides motor stuff for these cars who wants to go fast and not be able to rip a corner or two
