Coilovers

hey guys

Im looking for some cheap coilovers that will do the job, which is basically to drop the car in the summer 2-3" and raise it in the winter
Obviously, I do not want it to hurt my driving in any way. Plus i will be using 205/40-17s so I do not want any rubbing or interference

Whats a good set I can buy and how much should I be expecting to spend?

Ground Control are probably the best budget coilovers

Skunk2 would do the trick but you'd have to put up with a bit more popping noises

yup. GCs are the way to go. I dont recommend the skunks, I had those but I did't like them that much cause they made ALOT of noise...

you're planning on running 205/40-17s with what width and offset of wheel? and uhm... what car do you drive?

camber plates are a good idea when you're dropping more than 2"

I'm dropped 2"

I'm dropped 2"

2000 protege LX....

those tires...with 17x7.5" (unless you recommend better) and +45 offset (once again, your opinion required)

Wow, I must really sound stupid sound to you guys...but what are camber plates :$

and yeh..im prolly gonna drop 2 inches as well

17x7 wheels will be a better fit with that size tire, +45 is a good offset

if you want 17x7.5 you ought to run a 215/40, and you'd be better with a +48 offset

camber plates = adjust for too much negative camber caused by suspension geometries

lol, sorry for the elementary school level explanation
