ok, here are some questions for all of you who have done this. i have never installed any kind of springs before but plan on doing it in a couple of weeks. i saw the how to section for springs, but that didnt seem very hard. is it really going to be that easy. if not can anyone post better instructions. and i have heard that i will need spring compressors and i wont, which one is it. (probably whichever i prefer right) and i think that is it for now. i will post some pics when i get it dropped and the windows tinted, cant wait.

you really should have a shop manual if you plan on doing work on your car. the whole procedure is outlined quite nice in it, too.

hmm.... good luck, just give about 5-6 hours open so if anything happens, you got the time to relax and take your time. me and my friend did my p5, took us that long cause of dumb minor things we forgot to take off or idk, s*** like that. i wish u all the luck man - chris

did you have to use a spring compressor when you did it?? cause i wasn't planning on using one when i install my set later this week......torque wrench a must though

well, a local shop in town said they could do it for 220, my thinking there is it would be done professionaly, get aligned at the same shop, and it wouldnt take up a weekend when i could be cruisin'. so i dont know yet, but i am thinking about having the shop do it. oh, i called the mazda dealership to see how much they would charge me. first off they didnt know what a coilover is, second they didnt know what all would go into installing a set so i went there and made some copies of the p5 suspension from their shop manual. and on a side note, it makes ya feel good when you walk out the doors to the dealership and you have three salesman walking around your car staring at it.
