Cobb SRI or Fujita cold air intake

M3F Intake Topic

compare all of the gains created by the CAI vs the gains posted by the SRI. Sure, they werent all on the same exact car in the same exact environment but the consistency involved with the dyno numbers posted by various CAIs has to mean something...

Oh, I see...you're basing your opinion on dyno sheets taken mostly from intake manufacturers. Well that makes perfect sense, they never lie.

I find it a bit hard to understand how you could lie on a dyno to the extent of which the dynos showed. You can't mask a 200% increase in numbers by manipulating tin variables that at most would give manufacturers maybe 15-20% higher than normal numbers. And I base my opinion off of the information that is out there, unless you want to buy me a Cobb SRI and every other CAI out there I'll gladly do side by side dynos for you.

That link doesn't work.

This topic has been discussed to no end via one million threads producing no inconclusive outcome. All you're doing is kicking a dead horse here buddy.

I'm not here trying to start an argument. I posted in this thread to give the OP all of the information out there regarding the available CAI's and SRI's, MS3077.

So I compiled all of the numbers from that link dandy sent over. Below lists (according to those dynos) the gains from each, in order of HP gains.

Ingen
26.05hp
28.39tq

MS CAI
24.225hp
25.805tq

Begi SRI
21.49hp
26.31tq

CP-E Xcel
15.74hp
21.2tq

Fujita CAI
11.9hp
16.68tq

Cobb SRI
11hp
8tq

According to these numbers, the Begi box comes in 3rd in HP & 2nd in torque, with 2 CAIs rated lower.

Wow, didn't even notice how little of a boost the Fujita CAI gives. I've been set on purchasing a Cobb SRI from day one but if the BEGi Box is putting out twice the numbers of the Cobb SRI then.... hmm

you people are all idiots

Very blanketed statement. I have yet to see any posts from you showcasing your vast knowledge. Posts that put down an entire thread of people, consisting of many contributing members and the best retailer for mazda aftermarkets is not a very smart thing to do. You may want to edit this statement to specify who you are refering to. thanks.

does the n/a mazda 3/6 with the 2.3 have the same maf housing as the ms6?
So if i bought somehting like this and some silicone couplers, could i make it work?

yes the MAF housing is the same. what are they charging for that intake? if its cheap you could give it a shot. history of that actually being successful is not on your side.
