cobb sri or cp-e nano sri

One thing to keep in mind is that the CP-e has 3" intake housing. It could be potentially better if you wind up with a bigger turbo down the road. Also, the Cobb mounting system has been known to break the stock battery bracket on quite a few owners. Not a huge deal, but some do prefer things not to break on their cars. Furthermore, there's talk of the MAF being damaged in the long run due to more movement of the intake. Take that for what it's worth...

Since Cobb just got C.A.R.B. approved I'd go that route...performance wise they are pretty much the same.

cobb vs. cpe used to be the best argument - now that cobb is bailing on parts for the ms3 -and only supporting the tuning - it's not so much - i have the hks and love it because the filter is dry, comes off easy for cleaning, and i've never had one issue with it

No argument cpe always had cobb.

atr vs sb - they both have their +'s and -'s they are both great - as far as parts go dp-equal, intake-cpe if you wanna go bigger, cbe - equal, fmic - cobb if you wanna go bigger, inlet - cpe because it's go the mount bracket the cobb is missing - my only negative on cobb is that they are quitting- but times are rough - not enough folks got money to waste on cars!

Just read the whole thread... I had the same question.

I'm still not sure which to get but i'm edging toward the CP-E nano SRi.

Installation on both should be relatively easy right? Neither throw any codes or anything like that?

edit: what about the Protege Garage SRi with the turbo inlet for 200?

Will that get more power gain? What about installation? Anyone have experience with PG sri with inlet?

Installation should take no longer than an hour at a relaxed pace. Gains are gonna be the same with the Cobb, CP-e, and PG piece. I would recommended getting a SRI along with the TIP. Quicker turbo response and way cool sound. EVeryone who has purchased the PG SRI and TIP has been very satusfied. It's a huge bargain to get both pieces for $200. I went with CP-e caused I liked the looks of it better and got a smokin' deal on the SRI and TIP.

After installing both CPE and PG inlet pipes I can tell you the PG one fits cleaner and my temps went down which I found hard to believe (over the CPE). Not to mention the PG install is easier. Even more so if you don't match your inlet / intake with the same brand. Thats why I ditched my CPE. With my injen intake the fitment was terrible. Was like a huge straw and a little straw duck taped together . . .

As for your OP I would get the PG combo or the CPE unit. 200 bucks for both is a great deal.

Awesome thanks!

so far i'm edging toward the PG SRi,inlet combo over the CPE SRi nano.

But do anyone have any dyno result of how much power the PG SRi is making (with/or without inlet... not sure if it will make much of a difference, if any at all).

Dyno result:

Cobb 11hp, 16 ft lb of torque gain.
Cpe 15 hp, 9 ft lb of torque gain.
