This is a picture from Cobb's web site of a recently introduced shift knob for WRX/STI applications. $65. I like the way it looks but would have to see it in person. Maybe they'll bring it our for the MS3.

I dont really care for it myself, plus a dozen will come out then they will be on backorder for 7 months

i've read that about cobb....i guess it keeps demand high and business overhead low.....oh well

"The 5 speed COBB Knob has a lip around its base to secure the stock shifter boot, while the 6 speed COBB Knob works perfectly with the reverse lock ring. Shifter weights are 117g and 104g respectively, encouraging smooth thrusts into every gear."

You can see that the left one is a 5 speed while the right one is a 6..

I am going to have to see it in person before I decide if I would want it, I have high hopes for it though.

well at least it's under 100 which is about par for shifter knobs...i wouldn't pay more that though....65 seems not too bad for it considering

I never understood why shift knobs cost so damn much. $65 does seem cheaper than most but still way more than I'd want to pay for one.

looks sick, i know cobb's market color is blue, but if they used a dark anodized red instead of the blue on the bottom of the shifter, so it matched the interior, id b on board to buy.

Id buy one if it didnt say COBB on it. I like the look and $65 isnt a bad price considering what other shift knobs cost.

+1. Regardless of what color exterior your car is, every MS3's interior has red accents and stitching. "COBB Blue" has to go.

I too used to wonder why shift knobs cost so much until I bought a TWM shift knob. Makes a huge difference and they are just so much nicer than a factory knob.
