are you kidding me i put sn SS to test on the GM's in motion autoshow. That thing was a joke. the backend kicked out like no one's business 10 times worse the the msp. the track workers looked at me and was like How the **** did u do that. I was like i dunno know, the suspension sux? the acceleration was good but when it comes down to it, the SS does not handle like the MSP

Wow I'm surprised it was that bad. I didn't expect it to be great, but Sport Compact Car pulled some pretty decent numbers in an Ion Redline and my friend's Ion Redline isn't THAT bad. I agree though, it's definatley no MSP.

And no, it's not a solid rear axle. It's a torsion beam. Not exactly sure how to describe how it works.

Also there's a lot more to handling than skidpad numbers. Skidpad numbers are also super tire dependent. What tires was the focus running on? I thought I remembered it being on rcompound tires, but I could be wrong.

The Ion Redline that Sport Compact tested posted pretty decent numbers in both skidpad and slalom.

short and simple... chevy took a sports couple and add skyline taillights and then smashed it into the wall a couple of times so no one would think they stole the tail light design from nissan.

but who could blame them? they probably figure "hey all those ricers out there will think its cool because it has similar tail lights."

LMAO
best response evAr!!!!

the reason they rate it as the best fwd is because its the best fwd handling car made in the US, didnt you know that nothing else exist outside of here? lol

They do these comparisons at different times, at differnet tracks and using different tires how in the hell is that a comparison? if you want to compare cars against each other put the same tires on them that makes a huge difference.

and yeah its a cheaply made car, what else is new its a GM, been there will never do it again.

its now the epsilon program and no longer the j-body but at the end of the day its still a GM

i know the comparison between the srt and the cobalt was a joke but both are american force fed tuners i think thats where they are going. maybe they did mean best fwd american s*** box ever who knows. i have driven in a redline and it was pathetic for only waying 100 or so pounds more then the MSP and with 205 hp it only managed a 7.1 0-60 and a 15.3 1/4 time although the tranny is to blame its outta a saab but it is not the same in the cobalt. motortrend also rated the srt and cobaly to both be 14.4 1/4 times and there is no way thats right

nothing is better then my mazdaspeed....nothing...I'll never admit it.

jokes aside....A Gm product? You got to be ******* kidding me. Have you actually "looked" at it? stood next to it? How anyone would pay any kind of money for a GM product and think their getting their money's worth......get a ******* clue. even the Corvette is cheaply made. I'm sorry, but it is. Granted the new vette's are getting better.

Remember, the MSP was tested on shaved tires in all the magazines.
