clutch question

yeah, I actually read that.... it's what prompted me to write this one. he said he hears an audible click from the engine bay. I don't know about that.... I mean, it's not the pedal... bit further up on the arm. was hoping this was a bit more common. doesn't seem to have any effect but ya never know. I should probably take it in...

Yeah, mine does heh. I'm going to take it in and leave it at the dealer tonight so they can look at it tomorrow. For me, when it makes the click it kinda slows down as well, and the clutch has gotten noticeably slower coming back up. So you have the same thing? Now I can tell them I'm not the only one, heh. Mine now does it every time I let the clutch out quickly in neutral or with the car off. I'll post the results on Friday or Monday, whenever I get my car back. If you take it in before me, please let me know what they say. Good luck!

maybe your throw-out bearing. when the clutch is disengage is it quiet?

yeah... only (occasionally- often when the car is cold) makes a sound when depressed or let go...

For me, when it makes the click it kinda slows down as well, and the clutch has gotten noticeably slower coming back up. Mine now does it every time I let the clutch out quickly in neutral or with the car off.

Mine does the same thing, slows down when I let the clutch out fast, but no clicking. Let us know what they say.

I believe I have something similar. It's more of a metallic fluttering sound (possibly what conekiller mentioned with "it kinda slows down"). It's most noticeable when I'm revving up around 3000+ rpm and throw my foot on the clutch pretty fast. If I listen carefully I can hear it if I give the car a lot of gas and then let off quickly (without engaging the clutch). That kind of makes me think it's just the "turkey" from the BOV I'm hearing, but I've never had any other drivers verify this.

The noise I hear seems to come from under/behind the dash. Near where the clutch pedal is but sort of straight out towards the front of the car, my ears would say maybe 10-14" from where my left foot sits when on the clutch.

Yay! I didn't want to pay anyone to pull out the clutch and take a look so was hoping it would fix itself when I replace the BOV in a couple weeks.

I noticed the same thing two days ago. I thought it was the pedal.
