Clutch Question...

Okay, so i heard from the dealership that my clutch is slipping and they want to charge me nearly a grand to fix it. If i can avoid it, **** that. If not, oh well. I want to know how easy of a fix it is if i buy the clutch kit and since i know little about cars, should i just pay the money? I mean, i have access to a lift and all the necessary tools. Im on an airforce base so we have that accommodation. also, is an Exedy DAIKIN clutch kit any good?

unless you have access to somebody that knows what they are doing when it comes to changing out a fwd clutch, then pay to get it done. But I would still shop around atleast.

how could it be slipping already? judging by your name its an 05? does it feel like its slipping when you drive it?

How does the car feel when driving from a stop? Depending on the symptoms you're feeling it could be a glazed clutch which will be alleviated through normal, everyday driving.

we can cut you a deal on a performance rated or OEM replacement clutch if you need to save a little money for this job
