clutch problems

recently tried to move my car. after giving it hell the other night , and it doesnt want to move. im thinking the clutch fork has collasped? it just boggs out when trying to move it. and the trans the car wont move in any gear but in 3rd gear and the clutch all the way to the floor with it off . anyone else had this problem before? it wants to move in 3rd i have to keep giving it the gas? ne help is thanksful

is your e brake on? lol just messin with ya... and usually if the cluch is gone, when you gas it it will just rev and not go anywhere

Oh dude.. hahahaha sorry to tell you, but sounds to me like your transmission is done. Put it in revers and if it feels like it's trying to move foward you're in need of a transmission replacement. I've done mine, but it came just after a loud metal cracking/clunking sound.. both front wheels locked and the engine would do exactly what you're saying as i tried to take off from any gears. Turns out i had destroyed 1-2-3-5 and bent the input shaft.

So it will go into the gear but not go anywhere except struggle when it is 3rd gear? Sounds like some broken forks to me.... Call up AAMCO! Just use this opportunity to upgrade your clutch and get a light weight fly wheel! That way the situation isn't a total loss at least...

yeah i can get it to move around in 3rd when i let out all the way on the clutch it wants to shut off. im thinking its the clutch gone wont move in any other gear it wants to and trys to move in reverse but shuts off. well see soon as i get time to tear it down lol thanks for all the help and answers ill keep u guys updated

If it was your clutch your engine would not shut down, you'd just rev and go no where like as if you were in nutral. Does anyone have a used transmission for this guy?

yeah the thing is bad. i had a friend mess with it over the weekend got it out and put in new clutch and all , and it still doing the same its messed up big time? anyone got a trans? or any idea what fits what ? im new to imports

what the hell does that have to do with imports? a car has 4 wheels, an engine, and transmission... the basic concepts are the same, domestic or import... either the clutch works or doesn't.... a clutch is a clutch
you already said your car tries to move when you try to let off the clutch, so its obvious your clutch was fine, but you didn't listen to anyone here and wasted time/money

The forks are probably toast. Maybe input shaft or main shaft also. In all honesty, I'm a little impressed you could destroy any of those parts.

I destroyed my imput, i think it was 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th, and cracked the casing holding the imput shaft.. i have pics somewhere... i use to anyways haha The transmission shop did not know what to say appart from "dude, you destroyed that thing!"
