i'm looking for a new clutch and lightweight flywheel for my p5/ if anyone could give suggestions and prices it would be appreciated

act strip/street organic clutch with the heavy duty pressure plate works for most people.

it is sold as a kit, expect to pay around $300+.

another good upgrade is the stainless steel clutch line as well. $~22.00 from corksport

ACT if you're keeping below maybe 250 whp (I have one of these).
Clutchmaster Stage II if you're going above (my brother has one of these).
I've also heard good things about Spec, but I have no experience with them.

the street/strip from act is good for like 350lbs of torque(to the wheels) i believe. which i doubt 99% of us will see

you look at torque when looking at clutches, not whp =)
Yes, I know that but most people talk about HP. I figured with a question like that I didn't have to get too "technical" . But I stand corrected!

i think its more like 250 ft/lbs tq
Yes I think you are correct! (Corksport's site says 285). Close enough!

But I thought I would post the correct, just in case Jeff wanted to catch me on a technicality again. :D

lol..i was just kidding with you, besides the trq/hp numbers on our motors will always be damn close(peak at least) and damn is it only 285 i thought it was more, oh well, thats still higher then most people on here will ever get to...

I know, I know. . .I just figured I'd play with you. I knew you weren't being a dick.

So, Jeff, what clutch are you running?

act street/strip...just got it back today. the stock one was well, gone haha. its almost broken in i drove about 150 miles so far on it.

mp5jeff, can you post pictures of your clutch disc and pressure plate? I'm curious what they look like, and what design the damper is. Thanks

Spec stage II here and it's great. 309 ft-lbs of torque for $329. Feals real strong and have nothing but praise for it so far.
