My mx3 v6 seems to be crunching the gears a little and a bit slack on the clutch dunno weather its the clutch or the gear box neone's help would be much appreciated, and where to get them from woulod also be more appreciated.

generally just seems to be the 1-2 and reverse, seems to me that could be the clutch lets hope so there a lot cheaper than the gear box.

Sounds to me like the 1-2 synchro is going out. It's common, especially with higher mileage transmissions. What gear oil do you have in it?

There are a few people on here who have had good results with different transmission fluids. Try replacing your fluid with either Pennzoil Synchromesh or GM Synchromesh. The GM product is probably only available through a GM Dealer, but I'm more familiar with it.

Okay, ill try it i have noticed though that it does seem to get better the more i drive it so i assume the warmer the fluid gets the better it works therefore it should be the fluid, neway ill do my best to get it sorted and get back to you.

P.S. u got any idea on the price (UK remember)

Cheers

I have no idea about pricing on it. I know the GM stuff is around $10 a quart US funds. It's pricey, but it should solve your problem. Good luck finding it over in Englandland.

I'm using Royal Purple Syncromax, but I've only had it in for 2 or 3 days so I can't really comment on it's performance. All I know is that it was a huge improvement over the complete lack of gear oil that I had for a 4 hour drive >_< >_< stupid bolt deciding to vibrate out and drain my oil.
