close to our gauges..

Defi or Greddy Silver Face w/orange illumination

this REALLY needs to be stickied somewhere.

yeah I know.. I was looking threw the THOUSANDS of post on it and couldnt find what I Was looking for thanx for the input.

i have to say my defi gauge matches very good. its not a complete match as its more orange than the stock gauges and it white, not silver, but it matches very closely. at night they look awesome. id like to find someway to paint the thing that holds the needle silver to match the stock gauges and figure out someway to make white light shine around the base of the needle on the stock gauges like the defi ones. sorry if i comfused you, its late.

I dont see how the black matches our silver-faced gauges(dunno) Besides, those Defi and the GReddy Warning series are expensive. Go with the Autometer Ultralite series. If you get those, and use the red bulb cover, it ends up giving it an orange tint. Not even close to what I would call red...

Word. I have the autometer autolites and they are an EXACT match...why does everyone keep saying defi?

doesn't look very exact to me (although it does look pimp), someone get a shot of the ultralites, they are identical for real

While the Defi are not exact, the quality is excellent and worth the price. The red lines within the gauge between the amber numbers is an exact match.

I researched this for a long time before I got mine, I had the following requirements:

Imperial Units (Psi, farenheit, etc...)
Electric Gauges (except for boost)
Amber/Red backlighting like the factory gagues with a white face (not just an outer ring/inner ring that lights the gauge face like the autometers)
Quality gauges (have never read anything bad about the Defi)

At the time I was looking for an A/F gauge that had numbers nut just a light show, and the Defi A/F gauge does have numbers. I had hoped to hook it up to a wideband for display, but due to the fact that it's a 0-1volt sweep I couldn't use it with the wideband I was looking at without a lot of effort. So I ended up with the AEM Uego gauge.

Some wideband controllers have an 'analog out' to connect to a standard A/F gauge.

Autometer Ultralite match perfectly, especially if you have the Dave B brushed gauge rings, which i have.
Our gauge faces aren't white, they are more silver. So are the Ultralite's.
At night, the gauge lights up more than the dash lights, kinda like a misty orange, but it's fine by me.
I'm running the single pillar pod BTW

Autometer, Phantom series. Plus you get the red light, and it glows the same as stock.

Does anyone know of any gauges that look close to our stock gauges? im looking for an a/f and boost/ vac gauge.

i dont see how autometer gauges match, only the face lights up and not the numbers; they have no backlighting. do our gauges look like that, or something?

The needles on the Ultralites look like something they got out of a Crakerjack box. (exception - Cobalts) I think this makes the entire gauge look cheap.

Right, but the wideband controllers I was looking at had a 0-5v out, not a 0-1v. For it to work with the Defi, it needed to be 0-1v. Oh well, I am happy with my AEM :D

Look at the Phantoms, IMO they are better.
