Clock losing minutes?

I just bought a mazda 3 and it is doing the same thing with the clock also. it is behind about 20 minutes even after i set it it seems to go back to being behind. Do you have a manual? I have a manual transmission and i thought maybe it happened if the car stalled.

don't think it is manual transmission related. i just got an 06 s touring mt and it's my first time driving a manual (aka i stall a pantload) and it only happens rarely.

Well I replaced one last monday and it has been good so far. Maybe they got rid of the bad batch?

I do have a manual, but I don't think there is relation there. I have never stalled the car and my clock lost minutes always after being parked, never happened while driving.

Hey guys -

Take your car to your dealer & tell them to fix it. There is no excuse why a darn clock shouldn't be able to keep time in a brand new car. I had the same issue when I first got mine, but after my 6 disc changer came in & was swapped in, it seems to have stopped. So it may be something to do with a batch of single disc HUs? Sounds like Mazda needs to issue a TSB on this...

This is my first manual so i am in the same boat you are :)

Bose 6-disc and clock just lost time for the first time

I bought my 5-door GT end of March and have put 6750 miles on it already. Never had an electronics issue until last night. The clock was fine when I parked the car in the garage last night, but this morning I noticed it was about 20 minutes off.

Strange thing is it seems that most people that have had this issue had the single-disc HU, but I have the Bose 6-disc.

Anyone else with the Bose 6-disc changer had this behavior?
