I think I read about a service bulletin that mentioned an issue with a metallic clinking noise on some of our vehicles when switched from Park to Reverse.
Well, my wife was leaving for work this morning (I was standing outside the CX-7) and when she switched to Reverse, I heard that metallic clinking noise (by the way, I have a GT AWD version).
Now, I'm sure this isn't the first time it's done that. In fact, maybe it does it every time for all I know(don't know though because you can't hear it from inside the vehicle).
My question is this: is it doing any damage to the vehicle (i.e. rubbing something wrong therefore wearing it down) or is it just more of an annoyance? Because if it isn't doing any real damage to the vehicle, I can't really see a reason for getting it fixed.
