Clicking noise in MS3?

i have a 2008 mazdaspeed 3 gt
sometimes when i hit it a little bit, specially of first gear, i hear like a little clicking noise, sounds like its coming from the front somewhere around the left tire, if anybody has any idea what that could be i will appreciate the help.

does it do it when you step on the accelerator and rev the engine at low speeds? also sometimes in the mist of a slow accelerated turn.? sounds like a ping? or pop or click.?

I have a 2008.5 Speed3 and I have also heard this clicking noise. It usually only happens when the cars is standing still and then is moved or when engaging reverse. I think it may be the brake pad settle. I know i have heard a very similar clicking noise from STI's running Hawk pad. Hawk pad are slightly smaller than stock OEM pads so they move around a bit. At least that's what i have been told. I have also had my local dealer check out my car trying to figure out what that sound could be. They say everything is OK. I have had the clicking noise since day one. I now have slightly over 27000 miles on it, i have had no issues. So I'm not really worried about it. The car is driven 60% city streets, 30% highway and 10% hard canyon driving.
