That's a nice job. How did you do it and what did you use? btw, is that a LX? or ES?

Thanks, I just put my headlights in the oven and took the amber piece out.

My car is an LX. I have the chrome headlights, I don't know how good it would look on the darker ES sedans. I guess someone will have to be the guinea pig for that.

I want the amber corner out of my MSP but it's not gonna happen unless I find a proven strategy. I think it would look decent for sure but definitely not as clean as yours.

Well I followed the first part of a How-to on how to paint your headlights that is posted on Protege Club

Its pretty easy actually. I put my headlights in the oven for 12 minutes at 250F and then ripped them open with some gloves.

If ever you do your MSP headlights, I'd like to see it.

I have an ES, and i spent forever aplying this dissolving stuff before getting them apart, but it looks decent now. The ES has a chrome reflector piece around the dark gunmetalish part, but it looks way better than the stupid amber piece, i don't even know why they put those in.

Oh BTW, i just did my friends civic headlights, and the oven works great! 12 minutes 250 degrees, works like a charm.
