Clear Fluid over the Tranny...

OK I got my oil change today from my local shop not the dealer...and we saw some fluid over the trany.. well thats what the guy says... any one know if this is serious or normal? Any comment is recommended... put your .02 cents in ... here's the pics.

Here we marked where the liquid was with a blue sharpy.
My mechanic told me that we would keep an eye on it and see if it does it again the next time I come in for an oil change. The liquid is clear and it is between the blue sharpy...we cleaned it off in this pic. IT is on the right side of the engine mount...I'm trying to put as much info on the location of the leak.

Here is the pic of the shield... notice the dark area...thats where the fluid subsided.

Washer fluid?

Try sniffing it. You can tell right away if it is oil/trans lubricant, and if its that, then you need to worry.

But clear fluid may simply be washer fluid

the tranny fluid would be more of a dark color..id say it was washer fluid.
