whats the most productive way of cleaning the valve cover....i started to yesterday, and holy s***, one part of it (as you can see in the pic) looks awesome...but that took AT LEAST 1/2 an hour...and yeah...how do you guys clean it to make it shine :) ?? I was using simple green, and some polishing cloths...it was mainly the polishing cloths that did it, simple green didnt really do s***...

oh yeah, and is it hard/time consuming to just take it off?? cause that would make things much easier...

thanks

looks nice. um.. simple green to clean off the grime and if u want, buy some metal polish or something and get buffing :)

other than that, simple green and a little scrubing (tooth brush perhaps?) is good enough

Take it off Dreeza...WOO!

LOL

I think it would be easier to just remove the valve cover if you really want to clean it. I have to do that before I paint mine & everyone says they did the same before painting theirs.

haha yeah

so...is there anything special i need to know before taking this off...or is it pretty self explanatory?

HEY! thats my strut bar!

Dont take the valve cover off, especially if you dont own a torque wrench to re install it. Just use Simple Green and follow the instructions on the bottle, clean the valve cover, intake manifold, and everything else at once.

lol, yes, that is your strut bar!! so purdy :) thanks

dude, simple green doesnt do ANYTHING...then again, i never read instructions, but i figured it wouldnt say anything of importance anyways...

thanks black majic...ill look at those and see what i decide to do :p

when the cover is still warm -- the oil and dirt thats on there --- it will come off alot easier if you wipe the oil and dirt off while its still warm -- :)
