Cleaning tips for the CX-5 perforated leather?

I have a 2014 GT with Black leather. While I love the seats, the perforated leather is a pain to clean. My son spilled mustard on the seat and it's impossible to get the ketchup out of the tiny holes.

Any tips?

The only way I managed to get sand out of those holes, is to use a shop vac with a cone tip, plug it perfectly flat to the seat, and slap the leather with my other hand in an outward direction (away from the vacuum) while also tapping the seat with the vaccum tip, this seems to get the holes to open up a little and the vibration from the slapping loosens the stuck objects...

Makes you look like you are in a kinky porn film ... but it worked for me.

make sure the gf sees you doing it... for some reason seems to turn them on (if done right) ;-)
again.... it worked for me lol

Is this a trick question? Why bother getting ketchup out when mustard is spilled?

As the previous person mentioned, a strong shop vac (wet/dry) would be good. If the ketchup or mustard (or other condiment) is dried, you might need to get it damp to loosen it. As an alternative, find someone with a small pet dog that enjoys table scraps. If they are anything like the two my wife has, they'd somehow manage to get all traces of food from the seats (same idea as the shop vac.)

I spray it down with a leather cleaner and scrub it with a finger brush. Works 100% of the time, every time.

Yes. Griot's leather care is great stuff and readily available through most retailers. I personally use Chemical Guys Leather cleaner. I like the smell of both of them.
