Picture of heater block off if anyone is interested. Notice the extra foam, the wires run out between the stock foam and the plastic blocking plate.

Just bored and wanted a front plate shot

Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for all the good info on the board to make this a breeze.

Man that looks great! Does the gauge just fit right in there? Did you have to fabricate any other mount around the gauge to get it to fit? Oh yeah, is that electrical or mech. gauge? Looks really good.... tks, Mike

PS - I thought the Prosport gauges come with a silver trim ring?

Thanks for all the positive responses! As far as fabricating goes it is pretty simple. I picked up a PVC cap from Home Depot. Cut the guts out of the vent. Used a 2 1/4" hole bit to drill out the PVC to install the gauge. Then glued it all together with plastic weld. Sounds complicated but once you get hands on its no problem.

Yes the gauge bezel ring was silver but I wanted it to match so I taped it off and sprayed it with an ultra flat black.

so what exactly do you need to do? just pop off the air vent, and run the wires through? do you need to take anything out? then just get some kind of cap or something to fill in the gap. looks super good man.

Looks sexy bro! Im Glad everything turned out good for you and glad I could help you out! (as little as I did) I hope you like it as much as I like mine!

Ohhh did you keep it so it could spin? lol(wiggle)

Haha...yeah she still spins! I think I am too anal about things though...I notice my small imperfections on the insert piece. Trust me though I am happy with it. I would recommend it to everyone!

Lol its a fun feature, Yeh I didnt like how on the vent you can see the two peices that it clips into, and that was factory. Now the way my insert fits its just like the stock vent so you can still see a little bit of that silver on the inside, I wish I would have taken a marker and scribbled them black, but like you said I think Im too anal sometimes too! lol everyone Ive told is like what the hell are you talking about, they have to stare for a bit to notice....

Hey Scott, do you have any addt'l info on the PVC cap from Home Depot? Like size or part num. or even a picture? Would like to duplicate this myself. Also, was it difficult to route the wiring out of the vent tunnel so you can hook them up? Thanks! Mike

Routing the wires were easy...no issues there at all. Um I dont have a part number on the cap. Just go to the PVC pipe area. Look for a black end cap.....maybe 3"s in size....not too sure didnt measure it. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Yes in the third picture you can see the block off plate. Its clear plastic but its there. No problems what so bit.

Yeah i guess for less than $20 of parts. Search on here, i think there is another thread with almost the same topic name where another guy did the same thing, someone somewhere on here lists the parts needed if i remember correctly.

If you have money to burn just get the one on ebay.lol
