My personal fav car, happens to be the 1970 Cheverolete Chevelle SS, with big block 454/w cowl induction,
The only pic I have right now is from Dazed and COnfused....when I watched that movie and aw 'melba toast', I almost creamed my pants. I love these cars to know end, and my grandfather has one..that puts close to 700hp to the ground. Needless to say, it's a fast mother ******. Wish I had pics of it, it's a 1970 ss, original brown colour.

to me, the early 70's had the best cars, almost all 1970 muslce cars, I can say I like, a little later on, they all died(thank you OPEC and the oil industry). But I need to say, 1970 in particular, was the year to be a young kid, wanting a car. They where cheap. insurance was cheap, gas was priccey, but it was easy to ciphon a little gas. Damn I wish I hada been alive

The 454 engine was planned for the 1970 1/2 Camaro, but never came to pass, the biggest engine the 2nd gen cars came with in Camaro was the 396.

i think the only 80s camaro that has been listed was a late 2nd gen that just happened to still be in the early 80s. i don't remember any 3rd gens, which i definitely would not consider to be a classic V8...

IMO the 1980/81 Camaro Z/28s rate as classics, they have the looks of the older cars. It's going to be awhile before any 3rd gen F bodies can be thought of as true classics though.
