Cincinnati auto-x event this Sunday 4/15... anybody else going?

I'll be there racing in the novice index H-stock...

It's at the Wilmington Airport, here is the schedule and the Cincy SCCA site for more info/directions/etc:

I ask if anyone will be there because I may try to pass my camera off so I have some pictures/video to show afterwards(whistle)

I would be there if I were home. I know there will be a couple of folks I know with RX-8s there. It's a good group of people, Nathan and Shari are the co-Solo chairs and they go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Tell them Mike with the pretty supercharged Miata says hi.

I will caution you to be careful if you get slotted in the first session, last year there was a lot of dirt on the course for the first few runs and it was easy to spin.

Is your supercharged Miata a purple car w/ tan interior? If so I think I may have briefly met you at one event at the Cincinnati Mall last year... I spectated an event, drove down with Dave Schwartz. I was hooked after riding along in a slew of cars... I was looking into buying a Miata but that just never happened... I have a Jeep sucking my money along with other hobbies, and now a baby on the way so that is on the backburner now... but we sold our truck and bought my 09 MZ3i which is family friendly and should be fun to auto-x in H stock

Ha! Small world! We're buying a house in May and baby is due in July-August... so I'll be busy to say the least... hopefully I'll see you again at one of the next events!

I've been having fun in the 3... this thing handles great and just feels fantastic compared to the other FWD sedans in the same class. I'm a tech and get to work on anything and everything... I've just been super impressed with the build quality/reliability/ease of working on Mazdas in general... Japanese reliability, European suspension "feeling" etc etc. I know I'll have a blast with it.

I had a GREAT time! I finished 82 in overall PAX(of 114) and 4th of 21 in the Novice index. Very happy with that. If I were to go into H-stock with no index, I would have won the class since the only other entrant was a Civic that had a 70 sec run.
