cigar lighter fuse

Forgive the newb but after spending like 2 hours trying to find the best place to feed my boost gauge wire through, i am a bit uneasy.

Anyway Ive got my prosport digital gauge hooked up to the 12V blue wire coming out of the cigar lighter. 2 wires come out (blue and black) so i assume blue is the one I need. Anyway im 100% positive that I grounded properly but my gauge isn't turning on. Im out of ideas. Any advice??

Is they key turned to on? Do you have a multimeter/voltmeter? Measure for 12V. The only other thing I can think of is, you hooked up the Yellow wire to the blue wire out of the cigar lighter, but did you hook up the Red wire to the right 12V switched source? If you didnt do this, the sensor will not read 12V on a built-in relay, and will not power on
