It's about that time of year again, telling the parents what I would like for Christmas. I'm happy that I havent moved out yet (19 and still in college) b/c it is allowing me to pay for my MS3 as well as save for a house/townhouse when I graduate.

I have a 2007 Cosmic blue MS3 with the MS CAI on and Cobb springs and the PG test pipe on the way as well as a V1 in the windshield. I will get a motor mount here in the next couple of weeks... but what should I ask for?

I really wanted Cobb's accessport or CPE's PnP Standback, but that didnt happen. If I should get something for my car, what should it be? CPE's catted downpipe? The new PG manifold? I'd like to wait until a nice FMIC comes out, so a ETS TMIC isnt on the list...Tint or shifter + bushings is a good idea too... This is going to be tough

Or something non-car related? I really like the Nikon D40 camera.

It's either the Camera or MS3 part. Vote above!

Thanks and I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

what else would you expect from the mazda forum? lol

Tint+shifter bushings+motor mount (inserts for me) was one of the first things I got and feel they are awesome mods for the money. I'm waiting for tuning (probably cobb AP for me) until I get any bigger power mods such at new intercooler, DP, etc. to make sure it's all 'compatible'

I vote for the camera (which is a great entry level slr by the way)! That way you can take pics of your MS3 and all of the mods you will add later.

You definitely should not get CPE's downpipe now that youve got the testpipe. Corksport maybe? I didnt know you had the springs BTW. What do you think? They're on my list too. What about gauges? You are getting to the point if not already there that you will need them. Especially if EMS is released in the late winter. I say downpipe or gauge package. Of course, thats only because its basically the way Ive gone. Doh....

Your car is coming around for a smart spending college kid!!!:)

I asked for wheels, tint, a clear bra, and an exhaust. My rent's gave me the usual we won't buy you guns or car parts, so I went back to the usual Christmas list of a couple CDs, some Games for the 360, and anything with a Ferrari logo. I miss being, like, twelve, and totally going apeshit over legos.

This is what I got my old man for his 50th and its an awesome deal. Its digital and comes with a lense. Best bang for your buck truth be told. I would get the camera and then investigate and save money for the car parts. I dont know about your parents but mine would shun about car parts/modding my car so yeah. But then again its a different era.

Im going to be getting window tint from my parents.
Probably some mod from my girlfriend, I just dont know what I want yet. I'll be getting an intake in a few weeks, and anything else I have no idea.

I would suggest window tint, and maybe something else because window tint can be pretty cheap. Maybe window tint + corksport downpipe? That's right around 500 bucks, and the camera seems like it would cost a loot more, so it shouldnt be a problem.
The tint wins for me because it can help make your car look better, and it actually serves a purpose beyond looks-- It keeps your car cooler when you're not in it so you don't have to deal with being all hot and s*** when you leave your car parked on campus or whatever.

Just in case I will need my warranty, I've been thinking more and more about not "seriously" modding until it's closer to expiring. I just got the car July 31st and I have about 4,600 miles on her. I am leaning toward tint+shifter+bushings or the camera.

there are lots of fun mods you can do to your car that shouldn't void it and are easy enough to return to stock if you're not sure...
