planning to go this weekend to http://www.thehenryford.org/museum/index.aspx due to extra day off on Mon.

ok so if anyone was driving between these two on either I94 or I80..
which one is better?

two months ago driving to/from NYC I can say that I80 is okay between Chicago and Toledo. Just not sure if take I94 East from Chicago all the way to Dearborn/Detroit

thoughts?

94 is littered with state cops. its usually pretty smooth, as i drove it from Allen Park to the west coast of MI with no problems, just dont get too heavy on the gas ;)

thx man.. not about speed - protected by V1 )))
just looking for better road quality

To get to Dearborn you have to take 94.(stoned)
heh.. right but then either 80 to Toledo and north to Dearborn or just keep goin on 94 straight to the destination.

I've done the IL-Dearborn drive twice this summer (my buddy lives there) and both times I took 94. There's an alternate route, 80/90 to 69 then up to 94, but it's a bit longer. I've come home that way once, it felt longer.

94 is pretty smooth until you get near Ann Arbor IIRC that's where it got rough.

if you're gonna go 80/90, might as well take it all the way to 75 and go north from there. 80/90 is smoother than 94.
