 MAN OH MAN

I see I aint the only one with this problem , I am getting - .71 . Is this right , and if it is what the does it mean ?

OK to shorten ur time here , I have found out that the hkPa is a combo of two deferent metric measurements. 1 being Hectopascal and the other is kilopascal ! Why the UK has to use some dumb ass s*** like this is beyond me.

Aint one good enough ? And this being one of the place's I found out ! You work on it ! http://www.convertme.com/en/convert/pressure }(bang) (bang) (bang)

.69 hkPa = 10.00 psi
.68 hkPa = 9.86 psi
.67 hkPa = 9.72 psi
.66 hkPa = 9.57 psi
.65 hkPa = 9.43 psi

.51 hkPa = 7.40 psi
.50 hkPa = 7.25 psi

Wheni start my car ans its cold i get about -.74 to -.71 vac. After it warms up its pretty stedy at -.70 vac at idle...

is that normal?

BAD ASS ! Thank So Very much ther 505zoom ! OK now 1 more , am I running a good psi @ idle ?

Hehe, the link I posted should help you going forward if you are looking to up the boost later.

I'm glad that I read this post. This whole time that I've thought my boost was peaking at 9psi it has actually been running at 9hkpa. That means I have actually been peaking at somewhere around 13psi boost. My friend who is a "Honda Guru" drove it and heard what sounded like very slight detonation above 6500rpm's but none at 6000rpm's or below said it sounded fine and should be perfectly safe to drive. He also thought I was running 9psi also though. Anyone have any ideas if this is a safe boost if I'm having no detonation or should I turn it down to an actual 9psi? By the way my car has been flashed. Thanks for the info.

OH HELL People ! Guess what I found. Like one our fellow members had said or told me about the mesrument , was that That scale was called hectopascal & well you know the other one (PSI) anyway I put my numbers in and came up with something like 0.0102977 psi from a -.71 hkPa ! dont get me wrong my car runs but I know a neg. pressure of any sort can't be good !

NOW I NEED FEED BACK , MORE INPUT , INCOMPLETE DATA ! FEED ME ! FEED ME !

OH hey ! here is where I found out about the ( hectopascal ) hkPa http://www.onlineconversion.com/pressure.htm

Ya ! Striker its something like that , hell I'm so sick of trying to find out what the hell is going on with this neg./minus crap. I'm just gonna leave the damn thing as it is an hope the best ! ! !

No I'm not you should know me better than that , ether the DTT unit is f_cked up or the car is ! BUT it runs for now !

I wonder if I switch that switch on the back from A to B if that will change anything ( lets find out ) brb ! Didn't do a dog damn thing:confused:  (rant) (pissed) (bang)

what is the problem with the DTT???

i think you should invest in a boost gauge in "PSI" to save you the trouble.. sounds like its really getting to you

VACUUM IS NOT BAD!!!!

Ya I should of !

I was trying to do it like this though ! (bang)

Oh and check this out , when I can get it up it only go's to 0.00 no further!

your boost wont go above 0.00????

where do you have the vacuum line hooked to?

Hey -7.1 is normal, that is what mine reads. What you are reading is vaccum. If you undo your hose from your boost gauge and put your finger on it you will notice that it is sucking, that is vaccum. When you start to boost it should go into positive numbers, then it is reading your actual boost. Vaccum is perfectly normal when you are not creating boost. Don't worry about it nothing is wrong. As far as it not reading above 0.00 I don't know what to tell you, either it is hooked up wrong, you have your boost turned way down, or your boost gauge is faulty. But you are reading the correct vaccum either way. Good luck.

hkPa does not equal hpa which is what you have be trying to convert from. You have to move the decimal point over 3 places -- i.e. -.71 hkpa = -710 hpa = -10.30 psi Also the UK uses the same units the US does, blame Europe for for the metric system.
