Yes I agree that is an excellent resource for information. It should almost be required reading for people who are new to cars in general and have lots of questions that are in effect very simple but only once you are a little educated about your car and how it works.

I think I'll go take a read in there myself...I know there's a ton that I can learn still.

There's another site that I found, www.autospeed.com . They have some sort of paid registration, but they give you access to a small number of their tech articles. Some real interesting reading in there, ...[

one night when i had my mx6, i was on aim, and this guy solarslash, linked me to howstuffworks, turbo...i read the WHOLE thing!
i love that site, i go there all the time. i even go oon there for maintenance help.hehe
