How cheap is it to get a straight pipe? Can a muffler shop weld one in, removing the cat in Calli, or is it illegal for them to do that?

Well I do know that around here a muffler/body shop will not work on your car if you do not have a cat nor will they remove it unless its being replaced. I think Cali prohibits the modification of the stock exhaust period

I did the non fouler trick on mine and i have stock exhaust. Really easy to do and I havent had my CEL come on and i've been driving it about 9 months now

My cat is bad. I had a random multiple cylinder misfire for awhile and i heard it clogged up my cat with all my unburnt fuel. And I had to get it to pass emissions and as all of you probably know you cant pass with a CEL, at least here in utah...

Yeah I passed. All i have is safety and emissions i have to do, isnt it only cali that does smog? all they did was plug in the OBDII reader and my car told it that it was good to go
