Changing Instrument Cluster Language to Polish

Hi everyone,

I have a 2019 Mazda CX-9 imported from the US and I'm currently trying to switch the system to European settings. I’ve already dealt with some CMU/infotainment region stuff, but now I’m stuck with the instrument cluster (IC) – I want to enable the Polish language (or at least any European language) on the dash (cluster) display.

I know that in the Mazda CX-5, there’s a panel like KMK4/KN4M that needs to be swapped when changing region. Does anyone know if a similar panel exists for the CX-9? Or maybe a compatible one from another model?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

Just to clarify – I'm already aware of the AsBuilt region setting in 720-01-01. The issue I have now is that after switching the IC to the EU region, the airbag (SRS) light starts blinking, and I get a known error (B00D5) related to the airbag indicator panel (wheel heat panel) .

In the CX-5, people fix this by replacing the airbag/seatbelt indicator panel (e.g., KN3M/KN4M) with a European version that communicates properly with the cluster.

My question is:

Does the CX-9 have a similar panel that needs to be swapped?

Or maybe there's a compatible one from another model that works with the CX-9?

Or even better – does anyone know a way to bypass or disable this error without swapping hardware?

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Yes, I know some people experience the SRS error, if you read the thread I post it earlier, you will find some people try other regions or add a resistor in the cluster to solve the issue. I'll link it here if I find it.
