Change/coin holder?

OK, I've struggled a bit to put a three coin, spring loaded change holder someplace that is easily accessible.

Some locations that are not feasible for me:

1) The "foglight" coin holder
2) The ashtray just chock full of coinage
3) The shift boot (stupid...who does that?)

I had it installed to the outside of the ashstray, but that didn't work. Too much rattling, esp. when the coin holder was loaded up (not counter balanced).

So, has anyone a better location for a coin holder? What is your coin holder of choice?

i probably have $20 in change under my seat right now. if its in my coin holder it rattles and pisses me off so i just throw it around the car usually

Ah, yes, tolls! But that pays for your nice highways. Ours are just crap!

You would think...but no, our higways suck. I wont get into it and ruin Dimitrios' thread anymore.

Personally, my change goes into the cupholder, or passenger floor.
Sorry, I am not able to give grown up replies, court order :(

what about the little hole thing under the fog light switch?

he said no to that in the first thing on his list.

what about *inside* the armrest thing in the center console?

Zip-Lock bag in the side door pockets, zip-lock bag in the centre consol, zip-lock bag in the cup holder(s) or a change cup in the cup holder(s). I don't know how much change you have, but how about the glove box?

Cut a piece of padding for the "sunglass holder"/change hole and you'll be fine. I tried keeping quarters in the little change holder next to the foglights and then would freak everytime I heard the vibration thinking it was a rattle in the car.

Yeah, pretty much just use a bag of some sort I would say. I have a gay little coin purse with a zipper that goes in my driver side door pocket. It is very brightly colored and looks like some wannabe native american style patterns on it. But my mom gave it to me, so it's all good.

Best thing to do is keep your change in rolls and stick them in the glove box or something. No matter where you put change, it will rattle and drive you crazy.

Used some kitchen shelf liner to line the inside of the ashtray. Stopped the rattling!

Also used to line the inside of the glove compartment and the armrest (CDs were rattling) and the door compartment. (Black liner with one side adhesive $5 from Walmart)

I used to keep it in my cup holder, but then I got urethane motor mounts. The rattling change drives me crazy!

i thought he meant that little one right next to the fog light switch. the one that looks like it can hold about 3 pennies.

I just dump my change into the center console and it doesn't rattle once a good amount is in there.
