CF EVO hood interest???

i talked to someone at JTR today and they said they are shipping the hood today or tomorrow, it should be here sometime next week. I hate paypal it takes so damn long for s*** to clear.
ill have to borrow my friends camera so i can get a bunch of shots.

no i dont have AIM my ex dorm roommate used it so much it drove me crazy....:D

please do take pics and i still do not grasp how these ducts will be functional, mainly due to where it is positioned.

answers/comments anyone?

search.. phantom has an Orange Kelvar from ION, but its jus a reg OEM style... search for "Orange hood" and u'll see something w/ phantom posting pix

still bump on question 2 above......!!@#!#!@$!#$

this is my thought on the matter.
The pic up there hopefully is very similar to what I will be getting. I can see through the evo vent and can tell there is a rainguard(little holes), so i know it isnt a vis. KNowing that it is for a different car might make a difference of where the intake vents were placed, so maybe they will be more in the area for the protege on the specific hood. There wont be any ducting like the DGM hood, instead i imagine it will be a basic hole.

Now the vis one is unfunctional because the intakes dont go directly into the bay, they just allow the air to enter the inbetween space of the hood panels, and then eventually leak into the engine more in the center through some opening.

The jtr, i hope, will vent directly into the area of the engines intake, but even if its not right in front of the intake, it will still allow cool air to get into that area, even if its not a direct ram style. I will be happy if it at least vents into that general area.

BTW- this is my educated guess from talking to people and looking at various pictures of different hoods. I may not be correct.

I've been asking them for pics, but they keep saying they don't have any. I asked them to take some, but no response yet.

Emode, hook us up with some good pics, like top side, under side and the same for the scoops. I don't think they are going to get me those pics.:(

bigg tim wud u be interested in IoN? a tad bit more expensive, but a fully functional duct, @ the right place.. NAFTA i think it is? + evo style vents. I'm trying my best to must up 10 ppl so I can simply jus get the damn hood :(

Damn dude that's steap! I think I'll wait to see what this one looks like before I go with that, sorry.

yeh at first i was willing to pay any price because i wanted orange kelvar... thats y i sought ion. I'm rethinking now, and like 200$ isn't worth the supposeiively 6whp the functional duct shud give. Now it's either this or VIS.

I guess we can only wait for pics, but honestly I do not see how these can be functional when they look exactly like VIS's... we shall see :)

its in mosinee, which is about 30 minutes away,
i thought they would deliver today, but i guess tomorrow

its here!
its a vis:(
it comes with a hole drilled were the intake vent is
and the rain guard is a peice that is screwed onto the bottom of the vent, but i dont know how it can vent if its covered

i guess thats what i get for being the test subject
it also has a very tiny chip right on the front, probably from shipping, should i make a fuss about it?
ill try to get pics soon.

i wud b**** bout it... pls put up pics soon, from all angles + ur chip

are there two vents?... so this IS exactly like SPD's evo hood (VIS?)

yes except that there is a hole drilled below the vent thats above the intake, and there is that wierd fiber board rainguard

the hood itself is very nice though

cool, i'll wait for pics.. iunno anymore, i just bought books for 2nd sem... fukin $500 down the drain. Seriously... ::cries::
