Here's a pic of what it looks like. It's not the actual protege hood, but it will look the same. It's only a pic of the top half and yes the scoops are functional, a plus for us who are turboed!

Chris said they are functional. I will give him a call tomorrow to see if he can get the actual pics of the one for the protege, top, bottom, and rain guards.

They said once they get the cheese, your hood will be shipped right away, as long as they are all not gone, then you will have to wait a few days till they get more.

after i ordered i went to the site and was looking around
im am confused because on the sites all their carbon fiber hoods say VIS.
i thought this was a different hood, plus the ones on the VIS are not functional. Anyone have any clue?

after looking at pictures of the vis hood from both angles i am positive that these hoods are different.

ive already ordered mine, plus this jtr is cheaper and is getting shipped right now. Plus the ion GB needs ten people or more for each hood style, which can be hard to do for such an expensive item. But i would bet that they will be top quality, i really like ion. I ordered there exhaust and will get their fmic too. either one will be good.

emode i may be interested cuz it seems like the ion gb is hopeless whats the diff bt this one and VIS? are the ducts functional?

EDIT: srry im updated w the thread now... now my only question is whats the quality vs VIS's? AND I want to be CERTAIN can someone please just give me a straight yes or no whether the VIS's 2xscoops are functional or not

I don't understand how these ducts are functional... Have you seen DGM's ? Their ducts are a bit larger, and placed more towards the intake. i'm a newb so i apologize in advance if i'm saying something dumb..jus trying to learn
