Cda-7995

thats funny, i had a 7893 (i think) looks exactly the same (no mp3) and i know it would fit in a p5. just need the spacer box thingy...maybe thats why...because its not an Easy Fit model. Call the customer support and find out why they say that.....i know we have the depth and height!

It fits perfectly, don't listen to crutchfield. They also said that my CDA-9815 didn't fit.

Crutchfield is a crock of s***, they say it won't fit just because you have to use a universal support to keep the back of the radio stable. I had the 7894 in my ES and it worked just fine.

in the back of MOST radio housings, there are 1 or 2 steel brackets that run vertically to help secure a radio in place. These can also be up front along the 2 front sides. Usually, the front ones w/ the back on support the radio. Since our stock HU doesn't have a rear support, the Alpine cannot EASILY be support in our double-din housing.

Make sense?

I have that exact deck in my car right now. According to their specs, it is too deep to fit in our cars, but i had no probelms installing mine.
I remember i had a hard time ordering it from them while i had my car selected though, I had to order it without selecting my car, then specify what else i needed in the "other information" section.
But it WILL fit no problem.

well since i found a person that actually has the CDA-7995, do you mind if i ask you a few questions...hope not...anyways at first i was going to get the cda-9807, but while i was researching it, i found the cda-7995 which is only 20 bucks more, and i have an external amp already, so i figure what the heck. i know the cda-7995 has a lot of options to mess around with for sq and stuff. but i dont have a sub, and i was just wondering if i will be able to find good use of the 7995 with no sub.??? sry so long..thanks though

Even without the sub, after you learn the controls of the deck you'll love it. It is actually better without the sub, because you can control where the bass hits harder, and where it doesn't. So if you want it to hit harder through your back speakers, but still want to hear good high's through the front speaks, then you can do that. It is probably the best deck i've owned to date. I love the limitless possibilities i have to tune it, and i haven't even learned how to control speaker distances yet, mostly cause i'm lazy, but one day. :D
any more questions just shoot.

Crutchfield is full of crap and mis measured. I have called and tried to tell them this 3 times but always get a damn answering machine when turned over to the department incharge of it.

There is no draw back to getting the 7995 if you don't have a sub.
The 7995 is last years top of the line single din head unit (other then the f1 status). Hence the price.
The added benifits of both time correction and especialy internal crossovers make the unit a great buy. The added sq of no internal amp is nice too. The 7995 has all 4 volt preouts unlike the 9807 that is only a 4 volt (I am not 100% on this)
