CD player quit on me?

So, pretty much..
When I got out of my car I was listening to the cd player.
When I got back into my car, I switched it to the radio, found nothing on, went to switch it back, and it won't recognize the cd player?
At first I thought it was the button, so I used the mode button on my wheel and it just skipped cd, didn't say anything about it.
My car is brand new, so needless to say I'm pretty upset, I tried turning the stereo on and off, and even killing the car and starting it up again.
I'm going to try and reconnect the battery now.
If you have any advice please help me, I really don't want to spend the deductible for Mazda to fix it.

Same thing has been happening to me. Last night it was the cd player. The time before it was the AM tuner. They've each managed to come back after letting the car sit overnight.

The first time it happened I think it was an ESD event as I was wiping the dash w/a micro fiber cloth.

Going to mention it to my dealer next time I'm in.
