CD Player Ailing

The CD player in my 2007 Mazda3 will not play CDs. I was listening to one, and when it finished the last track, instead of playing from the beginning again it just stopped as though no disc were loaded. When I try to put in a new CD the LCD panel says "CHECK CD". I heard that disconnecting a terminal of the car battery then reconnecting it after a few minutes will sometimes "reset" the unit, but this did not help.
I guess I have to take this in to the dealer now. What should I expect?

you can try holding the eject button down before you keystart, hold eject and load at the same time, and permutations of that.

Got it fixed! Solution: Maxell Auto CD Lens Cleaner disc.
