does anyone know how to install a dvd/cd player?is it like installing a cd player or is there more to it?I really think im needed to know about the wiring diagram for the video cables cause i have no idea where they should go.

It depends on what kind of unit you have. Do you have and indash t.v. with dvd/cd? If so, it is pretty straightforward. Now if you have just a dvd/cd player with an additional screen it is a little more involved. Let me know which one you have and i'll be able to help you more.

you will install the screen just like a radio but you MAY have to wire the e-brake wire to your hand brake. if that unit im pritty sure that all you have to do to bypass it is just connect that wire to the ground on the harness.

The reason for the eBrake wire is to prevent you from watching videos while driving. It will still play DVDs but only external screens (such as ones you mount in the back for passengers) will display the video.

ok cool thanks for the help. but one more question. how will I know which one is the ebrake wire and bypassing it will allow me to play the video in the front also right?

It should either tell you in the manual or it is on the wire itself. Most of the units i have done, the wire color was green. Once it is bypassed you will be able to watch video on that screen. Sometimes it is as simple as grounding that wire, but you may have to add a toggle switch. Some units have to see a sequence before it will play. Just ground it before turning it on and if it works then you are good.

ok i have tried to hook up my cd/dvd player and everything works except the dvd and the dam thing wont even eject my dvd???and also i have no idea where this wire is going to go it says brake on it but its pink and i have tried to ground it but nothing works i dont even know where to hook it up to make it where it will play in park can someone please help me i have no idea whats going on...

Well, thats power acoustic for you. They are not the most reputable brand. Like i said before you might need to use a switch. In the manual it "should" tell you the sequence. Nope, never mind it does not. I just looked at it. Try getting just a two-wire toggle switch. Hook up one side to ground and the other to the parking brake wire. It may have to see no ground when you first turn it on and then ground. Try ungrounding the wire, turn the unit on, play a dvd and then ground the wire. In some cases it has to see the no ground and ground sequence three times. It is a pain in the a$$. Try these things. Hopefully this helps.
