so i've been set on a catless down pipe for awhile but i recently saw the new catted one by cp-e i beleive but whatev the point is catted or catless. i'd like to hear from people with both. and i already have a race pipe. just wonderin what i should do

no choice, you live in New Jersey, you need a cat!
i live in Cali, and if your cought without one fines are up to $1,000.

In 2004, the NJ Governor signed legislation establishing the “California Clean Car” Emissions Standards for automobiles sold in New Jersey. The State of California had the strictest air emission standards in the country and now, here in New Jersey, we do too. To make sure automobiles are in compliance with the air emissions standards, testing is required.

You can drive with a high flow cat in cali right? I'll be movin up to norcal next year and want to know what cali drivers are doing with their exhaust

if you are looking for a cp-e catted downpipe, let me know. i have them sitting on the shelf and will beat anyone's price.

dont sell it if you want catted just put cat into your corksport midpipe

I am not sure that is the best plan. The cost of the CS DP is $300. Add to that about $175 for a high flow cat installed into the RP, and you are looking at a total of $475. The CP-E catted DP is $685, but you should be able to get at least $100 for your RP considering it's current demand and lack of supply. For the difference of $110, I would definitely go with the catted DP. That puts the cat between the O2 sensors where it belongs, and gets the job done with one pipe instead of two.

Not a MS3, but I run an MSP and have been catless for 2 years now. It in itself is not bad, however, if you have the choice get a cat! I'm in Minnesota and here you can pretty much be exhaust-less and they don't care. If you're in Jersey you've got to have a cat. Plus they really don't hurt your power, they are environmentally friendly and are just all around a good thing.

Coming from someone who doesn't even have a cat on his car...
PUT A CAT ON YOUR CAR!

(btw, I will soon be sporting a high flow cat myself)

if you want down pipe wait for exhaustdepot one it will be like cpe you can chose catted or catles and price should be around 350 buck....

im still debating it if i were to buy the cs downpipe i could always buy a high flow cat and weld it in or just switch the race pipe back i dunno what im gonna do it doesnt help that im cheap lol

If it has a Cat or not in California it doesnt matter... any aftermarket part that doesnt have a CARB (California Air Resource Board) it's illegal and you will be cited for it. You just have to take your chances in Cali.

Truth.

This also goes for aftermarket intakes as well.

With that being said, my TurboXS Catless Downpipe + Mid pipe will be here on friday (butt)

That's pretty lame, I saw people up there with alot of cbe. But I'm sure they have did more than just a cbe. That is why I was thinking of a high flow cat because it wouldn't make that much more of a difference in noise
