As it turns out it's very difficult to choose the catback system. I've narrowed my choices down to CS, Magnaflow, and, perhaps, CP-E. CP-E I'm not sure about since it's the most expensive (by over $200) than the rest, and the sound, at least from the clips I was able to find, is not deep enough.
I want a deep and aggressive sound when I step on it, but at the same time I don't want it to be louder than stock at crusing speeds and no drone.
I was thinking about Borla, but since it has 2.75" tubing, I left it alone. CS and Magnaflow sound good to me and they are priced very reasonably. With Magnaflow though I don't know what grade of SS they are using. I've read somewhere that it's T409 SS instead of T304 that CS uses. I also would like to find out the diameter of CS tip, and whether their claimed gains are for catback alone or for the entire turboback system.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I want to see what people would vote for.
P.S. I know that performance gains with catback alone are minimal on our cars. I plan on CP-E catted downpipe in the near future.

Wait for Cobb's. They're going to have a big resonator, big muffler, AND 3" tubing. Should be just a touch louder than stock.

I am actually looking for the exact same attributes in an exhaust system. I was looking into the GHL no-drone system because I LOVE the way is sounds at low-throttle and low-rpm, kind of an R32 rumble. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of the exhaust note at full throttle.

Well, I like Vibrant's sound, but it's entire turboback system, and I'm not going that way yet.

no, vibrant is a downpipe back system. it replaces your catback and midpipe with one system, including a high flow cat so if you wanted a catless downpipe youll still have a cat in there. vibrant wont work with a catted CPE downpipe unless you wanna do some welding/cutting. if you are planning on the cpe dp i would say get the cpe catback as well, they are made to fit eachother perfectly. otherwise, corksport is a great company and their catback will mate up with the cpe dp just fine.

Yeah corksports gains are a bit confusing. Don't expect to get much from a CBE.. Stock tip is 3.5" I believe and Corksport is 4" (it's .5" bigger). Fits the cutout well and looks great IMO. I have the turboback with high flow cat so mine is probably louder but...Crusing around it's not too loud. There is a little drone @ around 2k rpms, but if I find it annoying I just downshift a gear and bring the rpms to about 2.5k or whatever...no big deal. At WOT it really comes alive I really like the sound.

I have question Im kinda into buying cpe catted downpipe and there is one option that freaks me out : Wide Band o2 Bung and Cap -which one should I choose??
welded in 02 bung or
welded in bung and cap??
what is it for any way??
Is it necessary??

the bung is an extra O2 sensor bung for a wideband air/fuel ratio gauge. You should get one thats welded in with a cap. its necessary in the future if you mod more so get it now while your getting a downpipe. the cap is a bolt, just tighten it good before installing the DP and it will plug the bung up for the meantime that you dont use it or need to use it depending on mods etc....

Thanks for all the feedback. I confirmed with magnaflow that they use T409 steel,, which is not bad in itself, but not as good as T304. So I'd say that's a downside. I would probably go with CP-E expecially considering the future DP upgrade, but really almost $700 is tough. Are there any other positives with CP-E that I may be missing that could justify the price difference?
Corksport is at least a month away - backorder. Gives me more time to think, I guess.

I pick "D - none of the above". Maybe it's because I have a limited budget, but I just can't see spending money on something just to change the sound of my car. There are too many things I could buy with that much money that would make the car faster or better handling. It just seems like a waste. Hell, I could take a nice little vacation for what some of these CBEs cost.

I second this. I've heard the CPE turboback soundclips on youtube and to be honest It's def too loud for my taste. The cobb should be an excellent alternative if your looking for a matched system.

It will probably be a bit pricey though! I probably would have waited for Cobb's if money was no object. Got my corksport TBE for 860 shipped though...was hard to wait another several months for cobbs and probably end up spending 1200ish

Aaronc where did u get yours for that price?

And they are in Oregon or Washington or something and I'm in florida...so that's about the most expensive shipping is going to be, lol

Im not in hurry for tbe so I will wait and see what cobb will look like ...I want buy ap before tbe any way

Yeah i'm thinking the same thing. Stage 1+ then TBE and stage 2+. I really also would like a catted TBE which i'm sure is what Cobb is going to offer. Looks like if I want a matched catted TBE my options are fairly limited as the CPE is too loud for me.
