I have a apex1 catback and it hangs kind of low on my car. I was wondering if i put lowering springs on my car would the exhaust drop lower as well as the body of the car or jus the body itself? I saw a thread a few months back about this posted by striker187 but I cant find it anywhere now. But anyway here are some pics to give you and idea of what the cat-back looks like...

In the third picture it looks like the exhaust hanger isn't connected. Are you sure this is installed correctly and is for the right vehicle?

damn, that is super low. that exhaust shouldn't be just hanging like that. did you lose the exhaust hangar for that side?

They make it under the axle because it's cheaper and easier to do. The shop I went to for dyno + estimate explained how it's more expensive because you have to do more bends, more bends = more material & more labor hours.

Pretty crummy design if you ask me. It should have a shape like --\__/-- where the dip is the part going under the control arms.

Yeah, I've always wondered about the routing on that exhaust.

There's a guy here in town with one who said it never scrapes or hits anything though.

To answer the original question, No your exhaust wont get any lower, only the body of the car.

Thanks for your opinions guys...and to answer some questions i went back to the shop and emailed apexi and they said that is how is it supposed to fit, under the ax and sway bar. when i noticed it wasnt on the hanger i put it back on and made another discovery that the bastards didnt put my katboy hangers on so i got that straight. so kali u say that the exhaust wont lower right jus the body?

You're right... I don't know what i was thinking =P
I want to say that it was late, and I wasn't thinking right...
But maybe it was too early HA!

(hah)
