I was looking on ebay and for the same amount as the mazda speed axle back you can get a cat-back. But its no name. Normally this doesnt bother me, i bought my intake off ebay (no name) and am very happy, but exhaust is not a cheap mod (to me) and something that you can't just change or switch if u dont like it. Im afraid it will either be ricey or not do anything performance wise. Any experience or opinions?

haha forgot to put the link

i always suggest that people buy a nice muffler off of ebay and et piping welded locally...saves you money as well because youre not paying for heavy shipping...

I think that cheap for the exhauts, i notice the price is getting lower every time i check ebay.

Take this advice.

My brother got one of those and he loves it, but it's not a direct bolt on.
Minuses:
First the bolt holes in the flange didn't match the bolts on the catalytic convertor, we had to redrill the holes which was a b**** because the flange is a 1/4" thick and stainless steel.
Second, we had a leak by the catalytic convertor because there was a 1/4" of piping sticking out in front of the flange just like on the stock piping, but the piping in 2.25" and does not go inside the catalytic convertor, so we had to cut it off.
Third the tip is ******* ugly, it's 4.5", but what we did is we cut it off and welded on a nice chrome 2.5" tip.
Pluses:
Good exhaust for the price, great sound (not too loud), good performance gains, doesn't hit any heat shields, all mandrel bent stainless steel piping, looks great close to stock with a different tip

I prefer the cat-back systems because most local shops do not have mandrel bends and use aluminized piping. Whereas most cat-back systems are stainless steel and have mandrel bends.

Looks like that particular auction has ended :( Didn't act fast enough.

thanks 4 the info. Yeh i guess the guy didnt mean to make it $.99, but there are a lot of other ones for 139.99
