I wash my car once a week because it gets a months worth of dirt on it, in about 3 days. I work at a cemetery, and there is dirt and dust, and all kinds of tree crap flying around. On top of that, there are Birds all over the place. OH, and on top of that, my P5 is black.....but I love her man, I do. Our Saturday Mornings together cleaning her up are what I look forward to all week. ^_^

about twice a month, i REALLY DETAIL it, but i wash it at a coin-op everyweek, and wax each month...i try so hard to keep her pretty, but then random assholes hit the door, and drive off....BASTARDS...

Wash car once a week @ home thanks to the water blade,go buy one it works great.Wax car myself every 2 months.
I wash mine AT LEAST once a week, but ussually more....and I wax her about once a month, somtimes a month and a half..and always at home...besdies what type of car wash do you all use...I have the simoniz and the eagle one...my meguiars just ran out...and I like the meguirs wax as of late...but I think I am going to try mothers next

under the hood is blown off with the air compressor every chance i get....gosh im so picky ...LOL

well.....I know you don't want to hear this....but I don't wash my car.....its never been washed, never had water on her.....its never been rained on either.....and its still as clean as the day I drove it off the lot in Dec 2001.
When I get a little road dust on her....I will clean her up with "Dry Wash & Guard". The paint is as slick as snot on a brass door knob. Bugs don't even stick. :{D
My Truck on the other hand...well I don't wash it either....but then its just a nasty old P/U daily driver that looks like crap anyway....lol
I use mothers on my Scooter.....and polish for all the chrome, of which there is a ton of....it took me 4 hours to detail my harley last sunday.

Once a week at a coin-operated car wash, mainly on Wednesdays, my day off. But it sucks because I live in "Egypt", according to my girlfriend, and my speed gets dirty almost everyday. While on the subject, under the hood it gets nasty, espeically after a dust storm, and im not to sure if i should hose it down, covering the wires of course, for those hard to reach places. Is that even safe? And I dont really have access to a compressor. When I pop open the hood it just kills me to see a lot of dirt building up!!! (argh)

and let me tell you why--you know that wax most of you guys spend so much time applying? well, almost all coin-operated car washes and definately the touchless ones use degreaser to "so-handily" remove the dirt from your car, thus stripping the surface of it precious protectant.
The wax needs you---save the wax!!

Timmy Tercel gets rained on, or if there's a fundraiser going on (at least if it's not road salt season), but when I get him painted, maybe I'll take better care.
