I'll take a couple more tomorrow to show the cutoff on a better surface.

8300K might look great, but your light output is going to be pretty low.

Lower than a 4300K kit, but still way brighter than the stock h7 output. The 8300k just looks better to me.

Stock HIDs are available though...you don't have to get the halogen H7s.

The wait for a car with my options with HIDS was 3 months, I got the same car minus HIDs and the TPMS in 1 day. It also saved me from having to demount my brand new rims and tires to mount the TPMS sensors on the rims.

From the side of your house it doesn't look like there's any cutoff at all

looks like there's alot of excess glare and no cutoff. take a pic against a wall or garage. make sure your car is perpendicular.

Better pictures of the cutoff

It looks bad because the yard has a pretty good slope to it.

here's some pics on flat ground.

how much did that kit cost you and where did you purchase it. I think that it looks good and if it is not that expensive, then a good investment in my mind. Thanks

The kit was bought from cartechinternational on ebay for arounf $400.00. This is the second kit I have purchased from him, and both worked great.

There should be a distinct line where the light ends, and above that there should be no stray light. You can see the difference between the picture I posted and the one above it... there's stray light above the line.

In a D2R setup (versus D2S) you won't get as soft of a cutoff, but you will see some definition. Obviously, the only way to achieve a true cutoff line is with Projector beam type lenses...

I'm not sure what D2R and D2S are... is that just the difference between projector and reflected beams?

D2R is meant for a reflector type headlight HID, and D2S or D1S is meant for a projector beam headlight, in short.
