Ok, so the hurricane took an unpleasant last-second turn and we had to postpone the show. These things happen. I just want to let everyone know that we have rescheduled. The show will take place on Saturday, October 2nd. Same location, same vendors, same dyno, but hopefully some better weather.

The new flyer and all the finalized info will be up very soon.

just out of curiosity who did you talk to at advance for sponsoring the event? Usually when they sponsor a charity event they put out a flyer to all us car guy employees asking for us to go participate and such....hehe maybe I can get paid to come...

Brevard Motorsports has a few employees of local Advance stores and they're basically gathering a bunch of freebies to give out during the show.

Damn Hurricanes. The show, once again, has to be postponed.

Our plan was still to have the show this weekend, but the Melbourne Police/Fire Dispatch center received significant damage in the hurricane and they are setting up a temporary base at the Melbourne Square Mall. The other issue is that there is a relief shelter set up in the very spot we had for the show. Even if we could get a different lot to do the show at, it wouldn't seem right to be putting on a car show while many families who just lost everything are a few hundred feet down the way.

Sorry folks, mother nature truly seems to be against us. We'll try and reschedule as soon as possible (but after hurricane season).

On behalf of Brevard Motorsports, I want to thank the Protege community for their ongoing support of this show. We'll make it up to you. I promise!

ya... does suck but it's better this way. Like he said, people are still feeling the effects of this storm. Works out better for me thought... more time to get stuff done on the car. Anyways, keep us updated as to the new date.

ya know, I'm not sure if it's better or not ... I know alot of people have been waiting for this show, and again it is postponed. Yeah, it sucks that the hurricane messed up EVERYTHING, but maybe that is a good reason to do the show sometime soon. Everyone needs something to take their minds off all the bad s***, and have a little fun. I know I could use it.

Well, we really had no choice on this one. So we're just going to wait until January/February to do the show. There will be no hurricanes, the weather will be nicer, and everyone's lives will be back in order.

I'll keep you all updated, though.
