But yeah, the vendors sucked...they all sold the SAME crap. For example, I couldn't find a 2.75" cone filter ANYWHERE in that place. 2.5" or 3" only. ANd there were a million of them. I couldn't find center caps for my rims, etc etc. Just no variety.

Yeah, i think it was super stupid for Carlisle to cancel it next year. It's their biggest money maker of the year. You have 40K people who want food, access to the fair grounds, gas, lodging, etc. I'm sure a few million dollars was made by the small town of Carlisle.

I saw your ass talking to derrick, but you were too caught up showing him your new turbo kit . Me and Justin came by and said whats up and derrick just turned and was like "hey"...haha, you guys were totally engrossed!!

That was earlier on Saturday...maybe noonish or so?

This town just can't handle this event. That's what it all comes down to. Your point about the cops is exactly true. It will be held in the future in a place and in a manner that is totally controlled.

About vendors...I didn't bring that up. Must have been someone else. They must do okay here...they keep coming back. If you want to see really good vendor stuff, come to Spring or Fall Carlisle.

Point taken on bikini and burnout. Wouldn't work if we were inside anyway. Not that we'll be inside next year...but that would be nice.

Yeah dood, the grandstands were simply too small for the two competitions. I went to carlisle in 2001, 2002 as well and it wasn't nearly as big a problem as it seemed to be this year. (well i don't know aobut last year b/c i was competing in that NASA event).

Have any ideas on where it MIGHT be in the future? I seriously don't have a clue where you could hold such a massive event. I would say Summit Point in WV but hyperfest is held there in july, not sure if they'd want two events like that going on there in a year

Oh, and I hope I didn't offend you with my criticism. You seriously should be proud of the event you organized. It is the second largest on the east coast of its kind next to the NOPI Nats!! And it attracts people from every state!!

So, are you the manager of ALL carlisle events? or just the "compact nationals"? How many people turn out for the other Carlisle events anyways?
