Care to predict new features lineup for 2018+ CX-5?

No the "window sticker" I'm referring to is official paper sticker we're seeing on the window of every new vehicle in the US with vehicle information and MSRP. It includes government required EPA fuel economy ratings and NHTSA crash test ratings too. Dealers can't remove the window sticker before they sold the vehicle.

Guess we're talking about the same thing, my vague language to blame. I once sneaked into the parking lot at the back of a dealership with new unsold cars, with the exact color poster you've described hanging on the side window, and a large dot-matrix computer printout dangling inside the windshield, with lots of Japanese characters. I recognized some US port of entry in English, possibly as part of shipment details. Saw tire valve caps with N2 (nitrogen?) too. But all these were removed when the dealer passed me the new car (at least in my case, not sure about other customers). :-(

In the US, the Window sticker he is referring to must remain with the car until it is sold. Dealers usually give them to us. Example:

Thanks! Did you have to ask? The dealer didn't pass it to me. I'll definitely ask going forward.

The 2 times I've bought a new car, they were just given. Didn't need to ask. (Volvo / Mazda)

No such sticker or requirement here

Pretty sure it's not a government regulation and i've never heard of an insurance company needing it before.

Then why is is classified as "mandatory" to display it (scratch)

It is called a Moroni (sp?) sticker because the law requiring it was sponsored by a Representative Moroni. One dealer said they couldn't change any eqpt on the sticker (free trade of 19" wheels for 17")

All lights on 2018+ models are LEDs (cabin, plates, indicators) etc

The CX-5 must not much following in the Southeast. I live along the Gulf Coast and am in the market for a new car--possible CX-5--and I NEVER see them on the roads down here. I look for them all the time, but have only seen ONE in the past 3 months on the road. and I drive a lot. maybe that will translate into a good deal when I go car buying in June/July.

It doesn't matter to me but it would go a long way for the 0-60 crowd..... throw the CX-9 engine in for a MazdaSpeed version of CX-5 and kick Subaru's butt on the Forester XT on the acceleration spec.

Lots of people are wanting this. But thing is torque figures for 2.5L turbo and diesel are identical, maybe this is a reason they are not doing it.

How many dealers in your area?

Torque figures might be identical, but 250 horsepower means the 2.5T engine will outrun the diesel engine on a highway roll.

A 2.5T CX-5 would cannibalize CX-9 sales in the US a bit. A 2.2D CX-5 would boost existing CX-5 sales while not affecting CX-9 sales as much. A possible explanation?

Maybe they just don't want to offer 3 engine choices on the CX-5? Already 4 or 5 basic builds not counting option choices with 2.2D.
