Carbon Fiber Roof?

I like cf to a certain extent. People get carried away with it and then it looks ignorant. CF hoods are fine but when people do their interior with it I think it's stupid.

Whatever, it's all personal preference, nothing worth getting worked up about. I used to think CF was teh ghey, but now I think I'd like a CF hood...
Remember that sometimes your taste can change and people have different tastes.

But, one thing that I agree on is that if you're going to do it, do it right. No cheap fake stuff. If you can't afford to go real CF, just don't do it, it's like cutting springs.

Also have to remember that some people have show cars. That stuff equals points, points equals winning. If you had a show car wouldn't you want to win? - of course not everyone with CF does shows, but just saying that there are other reasons then just because you like the way it looks so much you cake your car with it

Oh I agree getting the genuine is the best. I was just curious about the vinyl because it sounded like a newer, maybe better quality and/or different vinyl.

Unless you get real carbon fiber, you won't get that 3d effect that it gives. It'll look like silvery/charcoal checkers on a black piece of vinyl.

Thanks for the link. I Googled it earlier. IMO it would be cool for side graphics or something but not as a direct replacement for genuine CF.

I've thought about a CF hood lately, and i am very anti-show, anti-carbon fiber. I'd be interesting on a white car. Must be OEM shape though.
