Carbon Fiber Mufflers

Looks mainly, some say weight but most of em unless they are 200 just for the muffler are just a layer of CF on the aluminum can anyway.

If your going for weight savings go with a titaniun muffler,.

sound and power will always depend on design as in pipe diameter, muffler internal design and so forth.

I think straight through mufflers allot the least back pressure.

I'm sure they give good performance gains, but it all comes down to looks. Tell me this isn't the most beautiful exhaust you've ever seen.

it's not the most beautiful exhaust i've ever seen. ;) j/k the hks one is badass.

also, if you get a true cf muffler with a cf core, it should sound different than other mufflers cause it'll resonate differently.

Just make sure that if you invest the money on the show aspect of your muffler, you're puttin people behind you to see it...

Is a full CF muffler even feasible? Heat has a tendancy to warp composites, but I don't know how hot a muffler gets.

That depends on the engine it's connected to & how rich the person is running. I've seen exhaust gages melt many a bumper.

sorry but the most beautiful muffler/exhaust I have seen is the full titanium fujitsubo system.

of course almost a grand on an exhaust isnt exactly feesable.

i didnt say they did, lol, i just said it was the best looking exhaust/muffler I have ever seen. I didnt think the car the muffler was on should influence it too much =P

the i look at titaium or CF for performance parts is what do the pro's use, i mean import pro's like BOZZ, FEED, Cwest and others, they all use as much titanium as they can unless they are building it specifically to be able to be reproduced by their customers.

Like for FEED's big cars they use tig welded slices of titanium piping to make the bends and so forth.

truely amazing function and form working together.

I think a full titanium that is torched blue all over would be the sweetest looking exhaust.
