alrite so what do you suggest?

Anyone that gets these hoods, PLEASE keep us all posted. I want to know first impressions as well as a few weeks down the road. I have heard of some of the current hoods for our cars being very poor quality. Some getting severely discolored quickly and also some even bubbling due to heat (in this case, turbo)

too bad you will never get it!! i placed an order with them in August and they kept giving me the run around about when it would be done or they were waiting on something to come in for it and then they tried to charge me MORE for the hood after waiting almost 3months for the ******* thing the sad thing is that they are located like 10 miles from me and they wouldn't even allow me to see the progress that was done on it. So i said **** You and got my money back!

Well they make the best and there is no need to let you come into the shop other then to hear you b****.

Fiber images is the best and you pay for the best, if they were making the hood and came across unexpected costs would you expect them to give it to you for free? I think not.

i guess i could call fiber images and see if they have any but lk bc3i said we probly can
't get any

any other suggestions... anybody? who else makes good hoods?
I heard great things about ViS, I spoke with them a while ago and they said they were thinking about doing one for us. I really want an OEM style cf hood, but they said they were probably going to start with an EVO style first

ViS will cause the same problems. I suggest calling Fiber Image and speak with them about setting up a GB or better yet contact Rishe at AutoRnD.com and he can prob set something up for you guys through fiber images. I know he has done this in the past.

no i didn't even go there to b****....their "excuse" was that the hood wasn't even supposed to be sold to the public yet witch is BS because in august they were promoting the hell out of those things up here. and yes i know that they mak the most amaing CF products. but the fact is once you have paid for a hood IN FULL once the contract is written there CAN BE NO CHANGES IN PRICE. that is actually a law in retail in CA i KNOW because i am in RETAIL.

If you guys signed a contract you may want to check it again. Maybe there was something you missed about prices being subject to change. Then again, maybe you can find something to back your case and still get it for the original cost. If there was no contract, they can pretty much do what they want

ahh but youve never been in car parts or car retail and im not going to go into detail about it but i will say this... FI was right. End of story.

actually i am reading the contract right now and NOWHERE does it state that prices are subject to change. thank you. It's sad that when the owner, Albert tells me that the hood will be ready on a specific Thursday because the part i was waiting for came in and when i call the the day after it was "finished" he denied that he ever told me that date. So i'm calling it poor buisness managment on their part. oh and a price increase of $200 on top of the $450 i had already paid does not seem justifiable to me. All i am saying is yes they have GREAT products, and maybe I have been through a bad buisness experience with them....it's just not good for buisness when you don't call your customers to inform them of delays and the customer is the one who is doing all the calling, etc etc... because i really was looking foreward to that hood. oh and FYI that hood won't be in production for public sales until the second week of Jan. at least thats when they were going to be finished with mine

i would suggest against a vis hood. at first i loved mine, and still do like the look, but i have over 20 cracks in the clear coat, and the weave is just not that great imo. only saving grace for the many hairline cracks in the hood, the rockblocker that covered it and made them mostly disappear.....;)
