What Crash was trying to state so eloquently is that Street Unit is not the most respected vendor out there. The apparently caused issues on this forum and just does not have a good name other places as well. That said, i have bought from them before, but my advice would be to contact Fiber Images directly (the maker of the hood here) and see if you can get it directly. Some of the things SU sells are lower priced, others are much higher than you can get direct (or from someone like Protege Garage), so look there first. IMHO, of course...

I don't have a MS6 either though, so I'll put my blinders back on... :p

Well, I'm aware of everything that went on with SU/PG on this forum. I bought my MS6 back in Feb.... and bought a TON of stuff from SU with absolutely no problems. I actually called in multiple times and changed orders around a couple times and nothing got screwed up (believe it or not). That's why when I was a new member on this forum, I was shocked to see that the words street unit . com are filtered from display. So I researched, found the old threads.... didn't really find anything to be up in arms about.

Anyways, I've had no issues with SU at all (it's sad that a rare/isolated incident can ruin relationships for everyone.....). SU took the time to work with FI on this hood and get it produced. This is the ONLY MS6 hood on the market that is not OEM or OEM CF (i.e., the only "different" one). I applaud them for that, just as I do PG for working on the motor builds that nobody else seems to get involved in.

I'm not sure why you are looking in the MS6 threads since you don't have one.... probably just to start s***.

Keep your blinders on.....

maybe because I participate in more than one area of the forum dummy (I dont need to stay in the MSP section only just because I own one, maybe I like all mazdas)...and as far as SU goes they have more than one incident of F'ing with people....Like I know a forum member who purchased a unichip from them and received a partially opened box with the switches swapped out with crappy napa ones...

lol.... it's a shame to see that this entire forum community is missing out on new products potentially by censoring streeetunit.com

here's another one for you noob...

It's a shame that the entire forum cannot benefit from generally knowledgable members because mdogg requires they stay in the section of which car they own.

Please show me the "general knowledge" you have provided to this thread. Maybe I missed that part.....

wow you are a newb...there is more than one section you can be subscribed to ...SEARCH NOOB! hahah

Oh and i felt correcting your ignorance was enough to show my knowledge

Oh, and now I will correct your misreading.

I asked where, in this thread, you have provided "general knowledge". I did not say you didn't provide general knowledge anywhere. NOOB.

oh ok and let me correct yours...since your comment was a reply to MY original comment which didnt have anything to do with THIS thread...re-read it a couple times and you can understand...I'll leave it at that and get back to my MSP section since you ms6 owners seem to like to play with yourselves

Point taken. As I've said, I have bought from them in the past as well, as they have the largest selection of products for my car. They have left me hanging a few times though... In any case, the issues with this forum go deeper than one or two instances and the critical bits were deleted before your or my time, but that's not really important. Just know it is not some conspiracy; the forum does it's best to protect members against shady business practices.

BTW, can we stop throwing around "noob", everyone?

Back on topic though; that is a sweet hood! Functional scoop FTW!

the hood is ugly anyways imho. they put to many levels to it and it has a pyramid affect. tried to make the hood look like the srt-4s.

It does *slighly* remind me of the SRT4.... but I think the SRT4 scoop is almost just a piece cut out from the front/underneath rather than built up like this one.

I am new to this forum, but not Mazda forums in general.

mdogg,
I have spoken with you plenty of times.Street Unit is one company that I will never in my life do buisness with again.I had a very bad experience with them and filed a dispute with my credit card company and was ready to get an attorney involved.

It is not just on this forum that they have pulled some shady buisness practices.
